Social Law and Olympian Values
Excellence = Corporate Values
The Olympic motto, “Faster, Higher, Stronger,” promotes the value of excellence, encouraging every athlete to outdo themselves
Respect = Non-Discrimination
The Olympic rings represent the respect that unites every nation and continent without discrimination, while protecting the environment
Friendship = Health and Social and Cultural Activities
The Olympic flame, relayed through many countries around the world, symbolizes friendship between people
Manage employees like a sports team
A company is an environment where employees develop their skills, explore their inspirations, discover new aspirations, and learn from their failures.
However, not all employees have the same aptitude or perform in the same way. Everyone is responsible for their own performance and can improve it.
The company can also stimulate performance by bringing employees together around shared, inspiring values. Rely on the principles of sports, such as team spirit, discipline, and determination. This approach encourages team cohesion and learning to have a proactive attitude in the face of challenges.
If the company’s values, image, and core strength are an advantage for attracting and retaining talented employees, they are also key for collective performance.
A fully shared principle of non-discrimination
- Article L1132 of the French Labor Code sets forth all the criteria of discrimination. “No person may be excluded from a recruitment or appointment procedure or from accessing an internship or a period of training in the company; no employee may be punished, dismissed, or be the subject of a discriminatory measure, whether direct or indirect:”
A friendship between employees through actions relating, in particular, to:
☆ One’s health and the health of others
All employees must take care of their health and safety, as well as that of their colleagues and other people in their presence in the workplace (Article L. 4122-1).
☆ Social and cultural activities
The CSE’s social and cultural activities as defined by the French Supreme Court are “any non-legally required activity, regardless of its nature, creation date, or means of financing, carried out primarily for the benefit of the company’s employees, without discrimination, to improve the collective conditions of the job and the work and life of the employees within the company.“
☆ Donations between employees
An employee can waive their right to all or some of their unused days off and give them to another employee at the company who is responsible for caring for a child under the age of twenty who has an illness or handicap or is the victim of a particularly serious accident that makes sustained presence and care indispensable (Article L1225-65-1).
