A Key Factor in Professional Success”

Testimonial
20 January 2022

In this exclusive interview, Corinne Eskenazi, Accounting Director at Thom, shares her professional journey and the lessons she learned from her experience at Primexis. She talks about the skills and values that have been decisive in her professional career. This enriching testimony highlights the importance of teamwork, agility, and commitment.

What was the most important moment in your career at Primexis?

After a few years in the accounting department learning the basics of the profession, working on special assignments was a very enriching step that changed my view of the accounting profession. This allowed me to discover different environments, different IT tools, and a wide variety of assignments.

In particular, I discovered that taking part in project management became a major interest of mine, one that I have always sought out and valued in my subsequent roles. This also gave me a taste for change and for rolling out tools and processes, which can make a big contribution to a company, even beyond the accounting department.

The diversity of the assignments allows us to develop a wide range of skills
and adopt a high degree of adaptability.

What parts of Primexis’ corporate culture had the greatest impact on your professional career?

Teamwork is a value that is implemented as soon as you join Primexis. This collective assistance allows you to quickly make progress, gain confidence, and go beyond the limits you set for yourself. After having benefited from this myself, I was then able to take my turn as a supervisor and have the pleasure of sharing my knowledge to help the people I worked with grow.

Team cohesion has always been important to me, and even in technical professions like ours, we are lucky to have this richness of sharing and discussion.

Teamwork allowed me to make rapid progress,
gain confidence, and go beyond the limits I set for myself.

What was a challenge you faced at Primexis and how did it strengthen your professional skills?

The main challenge I had to overcome was the start of each new special assignment at a client’s location because I was leaving behind working within the firm with the whole team and going to an assignment where I was expected to quickly understand the environment, the issues, and also deliver the expected results.

Taking the plunge in this type of assignment is very instructive because, as with any new challenge, you develop initiative and agility, and that teaches you to always achieve the goal.

What advice would you give to new recruits at Primexis to help them succeed?

Primexis offers very different assignments in each department. My advice to new recruits is to take advantage of this wide range of experience to acquire the multiple skills and adaptability that are essential in today’s profession. It also helps them choose the path where they feel the happiest.
