Career development at Primexis,
a motivating factor

Discover the interview with Alexandra Gerondeau, Director of Human Resources at Primexis, in Les Echos’ special feature: “Behind the scenes of France’s best employers,” published in June 2024.
She shares her expertise on the importance of HR and managerial support in opening up career prospects. This inspiring testimonial highlights our values and commitment to our employees.

Knowing you can move forward, progress, and never feel the glass ceiling above you, this is perhaps what has earned Primexis its remarkable scores in the ChooseMyCompany surveys. Located in Paris-La Défense, this financial and HR consulting and specialized accounting firm has around 400 employees today. Above all, it recognizes the value of their work. “80% of our current managers came from internal promotions,” illustrates Alexandra Gerondeau, Director of HR at Primexis.

Tomorrow, there will be even more of them; each year, on average, a quarter of our workforce is promoted. “Our organization allows us to set no limits. On the contrary, the more consultants we have ready to become managers, the better we can assist our clients,” she explains.

Richness of assignments

The clients we talk about are often prestigious and well known. This is by no means insignificant when it comes to engaging and motivating employees. “When you have less than three years of experience and work directly in the finance department of a CAC 40 group, your professional maturity gets built up at an accelerated pace,” emphasizes Alexandra Gerondeau.

Unsurprisingly, the richness and variety of these high-profile assignments are among the top reasons for team satisfaction.
But we still need to support these evolving careers. This is where our more experienced colleagues come in.

Every consultant is introduced to a mentor manager who supports them at the start of the assignment and advises them on the most complex and technical aspects. Another, called a manager coach, will accompany them throughout their career. “In addition to the actual assignments, the manager coach is there to oversee the employee’s professional and personal development. They are there for you to confide in and to lend an ear. They know you,” assures the Director of HR. Between career development and personalized support, the planets seem to be aligned for attracting young consulting talent.
