Read about the interview with Guillaume Hubert, Director, and Marion Le Ster, Senior Consultant in Controlling at Primexis, who specialize in performance management challenges. They share their recent experience in a major international group in the agri-food sector where they worked within the finance department managing the production of all the regulatory statements on the cash flow chain.
Guillaume Hubert: Primexis’ Controlling service line is uniquely positioned in the French operational consultancy market, with 45 employees specializing in controlling, a management team in constant contact with our clients and employees, and structured offerings that enable us to support our clients with controlling assistance or consultancy on performance management challenges.
The performance management offering is designed to support our clients, and more specifically the finance departments, in 3 key areas: operational efficiency, where we help our clients review their processes and their organization as well as set up efficient management models. Most of these assignments are carried out as part of a team, the most recent of which was a joint project with Marion and me.
Feedback on a Performance Management Consultancy Assignment
Marion Le Ster: The assignment I carried out with Guillaume was for a major international group in the agri-food industry. The client needed to improve the monitoring of its operating margin and stocks. We worked with them throughout the project, from the scoping phase right through to implementing the chosen solutions.
GH: This project had 3 main objectives:
–Secure the main components of the P&L
–Improve the monitoring of operating margins in order to manage the performance of our client’s activities
–Build intelligible reporting that can be widely rolled out within the organization, whether to finance teams or more operational teams
MLS: We analyzed the management procedures and rules implemented by the finance department. This analysis enabled us to standardize practices.
Subsequently, we assisted our client with an analytical overhaul process that enabled them to move from a margin by activity to a more refined margin by product category.
Finally, we used secure data to build reporting in Power BI, enabling the controlling team to refocus on analyzing the figures.
